It has been a long way to get to this point. I, personally, don’t really like using plugins because it never really works the way I want to. However, I used plugins for this website but whenever I put them into my file, it broke the other code several times. So I had to start over and over and ended up finding a new plugin. It is nice to use built-in plugins but it was really hard to modify them to work with other existing ones. Still it has a little glitches here and there but I am happy about what I’ve gotten.
Risograph has its own aesthetics such as a bright color and being physical to print them. I wanted to demonstrate the charm of the machine that is why I used a strong color block on each page. I made a motion graphic to simulate the dynamics of the machine.
I am just glad that I finished it.
Review of Product Website
APPLE Mac PRO
This website tries to sell the new mac pro. The new feature of the product is a cylinder shape and the website is showcasing by using a motion graphic as you scroll down. So the audience can feel watching a video. The web design does the certain job to promote the product effectively. The audience can browse the individual physical parts of the product really well because it showcases all most every possible angle. All the graphic information has all the data and functions of the product so it helps to understand and it is easy to visualize the performance of the product well. Color choices definitely sets the tone of the products as well. It does not have overwhelming information.
I feel pretty good about my garden website. It turned out mostly what I expected. I did not really explore using jQuery in ART341 class. So I wanted to figure out more in this course of class. The main goal of my website is always easy to navigate for users. I simplify things and use icons so it would user friendly website. I wanted to make it interactive so users are not bored by text. I tried to avoid plug-ins because whenever I grab things from Internet it didn’t work on my website somehow. So I mostly coded on html and CSS as best as I could then using fade-in functions on jQuery. I wished that my website was responsive to any browsers’ size. I still don’t really get the size problem.
